The Creative Director of Fabulous, Mark Hayman, was ‘highly commended’ by judges of the British Society of Magazine Editors annual awards.
For the first time Fabulous magazine was represented in three categories. This included Sally Eyden being short-listed as magazine editor in the ‘Newspaper & Current Affairs’ group and in the ‘New Editor of the Year’ award.
Sally said: “The fact that Fabulous magazine was short-listed in no less than three categories this year shows that the work we produce is being recognised within the industry. Mark Hayman, our fantastically talented creative director, has worked tirelessly to keep Fabulous at the top of the design game. He is an inspirational creative director, leading and innovating his team week in week out with his vision and unrivalled flair for ever more imaginative cover shoot concepts.”
Mark Hayman said: “I’m lucky to work with such a brilliantly dynamic team at Fabulous who are all willing to go the extra mile to ensure that the cover shoots, design and look of the magazine continue to set the standard for glossy weekly magazines across the market.
“It’s a brilliant job, and to have been the only tabloid newspaper supplement to be short-listed proves the work we’re doing is truly innovative.”
The prestigious BSME awards were held at the Hilton Park Lane Hotel on Tuesday night, celebrating the best talents in the magazine publishing industry.
The awards were presented by comedian Al Murray.
