Britain's favourite newspaper The Sun will be perking up Christmas with a festive giveaway that Yule be sorry to miss. The amazing Christmas gifts will put smiles on the faces of all the family and include Love2Shop, Cineworld and Tesco vouchers as well as games, DVDs, CDs, books and of course a fantastic Christmas turkey worth £10 from Iceland.
From this weekend readers across the UK can sign up to Sun Perks, an outstanding money-saving scheme that rewards loyal readers.
For the next 10 weeks Sun readers will have the chance to fill their stockings with a range of fantastic free gifts for Christmas.
Readers will be able to collect points in the paper every day from Saturday 10 September to Friday 18 November. The more points readers collect, the more free presents they can claim.
To claim they will need to register an account at www.sunperks.com and create a wish list of items they are collecting for, with the option to reserve limited edition items.
The offer will be promoted with a new TV, radio and digital marketing campaign which features the Sun Perks character Perky the Turkey. The advert marks the first time The Sun has turned its ‘hand’ to the world of puppetry. The first TV ad was broadcast yesterday.
Richard Gale, Brand Director for The Sun, said: “Sun Perks is a great way for us to reward our loyal readers and build direct relationships with consumers. This wave of the campaign will help provide some festive cheer for the whole family over Christmas.
“The TV advert featuring Perky the Turkey also brings the campaign to life using The Sun’s iconic brand of humour.”
