Re-launched ‘Score’ signs new columnist Paul Ince

Former England captain and MK Dons boss Paul Ince is set to join the News of the World’s new-look football supplement SCORE as a columnist.

His first column is to be published this Sunday (August 16, 2009) in the new bigger, better, bolder SCORE. The supplement kicks off the football season with a cutting edge new design. The relaunched 28-page pullout - up from 24 pages last season - will also feature a major exclusive interview, special investigation and in-depth match reports.

New SCORE columnist Ince said: “Sunday isn’t Sunday without the News of the World – their sports coverage is second to none. My new column in SCORE is going to give readers even more to get their teeth into on a Sunday morning – I can’t wait to get started.”

News of the World Sports Editor Paul McCarthy said: "SCORE is bigger than ever this season - but our top class match reports will have the same humour, attitude and depth of analysis as before.  We'll still have fantastic photographs, there will be more statistics, and we've also made the whole package easier to navigate.

"We’re delighted to have Incey on board, and on top of that we’re going to bring our readers a huge exclusive story or interview every Sunday, featuring world-class footballing talent. It’s like the old SCORE, only better - you can’t say fairer than that."

The new SCORE supplement is being promoted to readers with an eye-catching nationwide TV and press advertising campaign. SCORE is also supported by an online viral game ‘Team Hunter’, where fans have to identify 50 top clubs from their nicknames – play it here: www.loseyourselfinfootball.com
