The Sunday Times iPad edition launched

The Sunday Times has launched its first ever iPad edition. With all 12 sections – including three magazines and a new interactive TV guide, it promises to deliver a whole new, richer experience to readers.

Building on the success of The Times iPad edition, which was released last May, The Sunday Times iPad edition has been specifically developed to enhance the reader experience by making the very best of the iPad’s unique design and functionality.

The new iPad app will allow users to discover exclusive added layers of information and access unique features, such as a headline scanner to easily find the top stories of the day.

John Witherow, editor of The Sunday Times, said: “This is the first time a multi-section newspaper has put everything onto an app and lots of video and graphics bring The Sunday Times to life. We are proud to deliver a really beautiful reading experience for the iPad.”

A free app is available to download from the iTunes store today which includes a full sample issue of The Sunday Times iPad Edition. This week’s edition of The Sunday Times will be available to download in the early hours of Sunday morning.
